How does Privilege Authority elevate application permissions?
Privilege Authority uses elevation “rules” to define applications, Windows processes and Active X controls that need trun under different credentials from the logged in user. When the rule is applied, the Privilege Authority client runs the application or process under elevated credentials.
How can I create Privilege Authority rules?
Rules are easily created with the Rules Wizard in the Privilege Authority console. Rules can alsbe downloaded from the community supported Rules Exchange, which allows users tshare rules.
Can I elevate every application from a specific publisher?
Privilege Authority Professional can create an elevation rule based on a specific publisher’s digital certificate, allowing you tautomatically elevate every application from that publisher.
What operating systems does the client support? What operating systems does the console require?
The Privilege Authority client and console can run on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 as well as Server 2003 and Server 2008.
What are the installation prerequisites for Privilege Authority?
There are nprerequisites for the client application. The Privilege Authority console requires the Group Policy Management Console and .NET Framework 3.5.
How long does it take to set up? Does it require me to install software on my desktops?
The console installs in minutes. The Privilege Authority client must be installed on any computers that you want trun elevation rules. The client is easily installed via Group Policy or through a tool like ScriptLogic Desktop Authority.

How is Privilege Authority licensed?
Privilege Authority requires a license for every computer that is going to have the Privilege Authority client installed.
What user license quantities are available?
You can purchase licenses for as few as 10 clients.
Where do I apply the License key?
In the Privilege Authority console, you can apply the license file by choosing Help -> About Privilege Authority.
Is an evaluation license available? What restrictions does it have?
Yes, a 30-day evaluation license is available that is fully functional
How are licenses delivered?
Once your order has been processed you will receive your license code or file by e-mail.
How can I add more licenses?
The process is the same for all products, contact your reseller or ScriptLogic representative to purchase more licenses. ScriptLogic can be reached at contact us page. When your order has been processed you will be provided with a new electronic license for the total quantity of licenses you purchased.
Do you offer any types of discounts?

What about shrink-wrap product?
ScriptLogic does not sell any of its products with shrink-wrap packaging. All delivery of software and licenses is electronic.
Can ScriptLogic licenses be used worldwide?
No. ScriptLogic licenses by region. For example, if you acquired the licenses from the North America, you can only use those licenses in North America. The same concept applies for: (1) Europe, Middle East, and Africa, (2) Asia Pacific and (3) Latin America.
