How does the reporting in this bundle differ from the reporting offered in Enterprise Security Reporter?
Enterprise Security Reporter is a reporting solution ONLY and provides no way to manage user/group permissions. Though USM does provide some reports to better depict access controls across your network, the real strength in the solution is the actual permission management capabilities. USM will easily show where a user has been granted access and enables you to modify that access information—not just report on it.
How is the USM solution licensed?
The USM solution is licensed and priced by the total number of enabled users in a domain. Though the licenses for Security Explorer and Access Manager are separate, the integration of the two products is seamless.
What if I already own Security Explorer and now I want to add the Access Manager functionality as well?

What is the difference between Security Explorer and Quest Access Manager? Why do I need BOTH solutions?
Security Explorer is a resource-centric permissions management solution that allows you to automate permission management of NTFS file and folder, file shares, services, printer access, registry security and scheduled tasks . Quest Access Manager provides the real-time answer to finding permissions—this patented-pending technology creates and maintains a list of systems where a user has been granted access and provides a real-time view across an enterprise. How is the USM Solution licensed?
The solution is licensed per enabled user in the domain that is being managed.
Do I need a license for every user on my network?
You will need to license every enabled user in the domain(s) you wish to manage. If you have more than one domain on your network, you will only need to purchase a license for the enabled users in the domain(s) you wish to manage.
Can I use the USM Solution license to manage the other components on my server like SharePoint or SQL Server permissions?
When all of your Security Explorer for SQL Server licenses have been assigned to active servers then you will not be able to manage permissions on any further servers. Contact sales@dbl.co.uk or phone 0845 226 0512 to purchase more licenses.

How are licenses delivered?
Once your order has been processed you will receive your license code or file by e-mail.
How can I add more licenses?
The process is the same for all products, contact sales@dbl.co.uk or phone 0845 226 0512. When your order has been processed you will be provided with a new electronic license for the total quantity of licenses you purchased.
Do you offer any types of discounts?
Discounts are available for customers buying larger quantities of each product.
What about shrink-wrap product?
ScriptLogic does not sell any of its products with shrink-wrap packaging. All delivery of software and licenses is electronic.
Can ScriptLogic licenses be used worldwide?
No. ScriptLogic licenses by region. For example, if you acquired the licenses from the North America, you can only use those licenses in North America. The same concept applies for: (1) Europe, Middle East, and Africa, (2) Asia Pacific and (3) Latin America.
